Echo Verse

In Echo Verse the sound of the second to last syllable (or word) in each line is echoed (rhymed) by the last syllable. Sometimes this echo is on a line by itself. Echo Verse often takes the form of question and answer.

is it too late, mate?

when fighting against sin
win
when fighting against wind
bend
when loosing a fair fight
bite
when winning a fair fight
might

who is it that stole my ham
Sam

will you at least stay for lunch?
brunch?

chocolate chip cookie dough, I want that
fat

gymnastic shoes, don’t slip
flip
