Render

A Render is a 12 line poem written in four stanzas of three lines apiece. In a render half of the lines consistently either comment upon, paraphrase, or state the opposite of the other half in a loose pattern. Line 4 correlates to any line from the first stanza, line 7 correlates with either line 5 or 6 and line 8 correlates with the other one (5 or 6). Lines 10 and 11 correlate to the unused lines from the first stanza, line 12 correlates with line 9.

on the skin of my heart
where scars do not heal
my light shines its brightest

dimming the darkest darks
and burning away illusions
without scorching my dreams

maintaining hope
while dismantling delusion
a song can be heard

deep within my chest
where wounds glow
music never ceases
