NaPoWriMo 2016 Day 1 & 2

Its back again!

National Poetry Writing Month. I will be following along with Chris Jarmick’s prompts this year, more or less.

Day 1 prompt:

Write 2 poems 4 to 6 lines in length using at least 6 of the words on this list of words:

Dime, dreary, nebulous, skin, work, discussion,

elated, heavenly, selective, press, alluring, volatile

with only a dime
everything nebulous
dreary
becomes a new skin
a new sky
luck
may be volatile
and selective
but it does change

what doesn’t work
only presses us down
when the discussion stales
that elated mood
deflates
and heavenly apathy descends

alluring luck
becomes
murk
and the darkness
stars
